By submitting your photo(s) or video(s) through our website, or through any official Q Reunion platform (“Website”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy , which outlines how we manage your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Purpose of Photo Submissions
We’re calling on every Q-Bar legend to share the moments that made Melbourne’s dance scene unforgettable. Your submitted photo(s) and/or video(s) (“Submitted Content”) may be used to:
Feature in live displays at The Q Reunion event (including on event screens);
Appear on the official Q Reunion Facebook page or website; and
Be used in promotional and marketing materials related to The Q Reunion and future reunion events.
Consent to Use and Grant of Licence
By submitting content, you give 3020 Hospitality Insights (“The Company”) your express, irrevocable consent to use your image, likeness, name, and voice (as contained in your Submitted Content) for the purposes listed below.
License Grant
You grant The Company a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and transferable license to:
Use, reproduce, distribute, and display your Submitted Content;
Modify, crop, adapt, or combine it with other materials; and
Create derivative works for use in connection with the Q Reunion event, future reunions, and other promotional activities of 3020 Hospitality Insights.
Promotional Use
Your Submitted Content may be featured in:
Event visuals, video compilations, and highlight reels;
Social media campaigns and website banners;
Printed and digital marketing materials; and
Future reunion event promotions.
No Compensation
You acknowledge that no payment, credit, or other form of compensation will be provided for the use of your Submitted Content.
Contributor Warranty
By submitting a photo or video, you confirm that:
You are the owner of the Submitted Content, or you have obtained full permission from the rightful owner(s);
You have the consent of any identifiable individuals featured in the photo or video;
The content does not infringe on anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; and
The content does not contain offensive, defamatory, or unlawful material.
The Company will review each photo and video submission and reserves the right to reject, remove, or decline to display any submission that breaches these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
Privacy and Personal Information
Submitted photos and videos may include personal information as defined under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), such as your image, likeness, or contact details.
We collect and use this information to facilitate participation in The Q Reunion, for promotional and marketing purposes, and for related business activities of 3020 Hospitality Insights;
We may share information with trusted service providers assisting in event and website management;
Personal information, including photos and videos, may be stored or processed on secure cloud servers outside of Australia; and
By providing your submission, you acknowledge and consent to this overseas disclosure.
Withdrawing Consent
If you wish to withdraw your consent for future use of your submitted photo(s) or video(s), you may contact us at: chat@q-reunion.com.au
Please note that while we will take reasonable steps to stop future use, previously published materials (such as social media posts, event footage, or distributed marketing materials) cannot be recalled once released.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 3020 Hospitality Insights, its directors, employees, contractors, and partners from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
Your breach of these Terms; or
Any third-party claim regarding ownership, consent, or rights to the Submitted Content.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Company is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury (direct or indirect) arising from the submission, publication, or use of your Submitted Content.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
